Here is the Q and A:
1. How did you select your business name?
My business name is 'lily claire'. I have a vintage picture of a little
girl on my tags and business cards and she needed a name. I
knew I wanted Claire in the name to honor my mom, and I started going
through names I liked to see what sounded good - I came upon
Lily and thus, she was named.
2. Do you have a blog/FB?
Yes! I'm on facebook and I have a blog - although I haven't had the
time to put much "pizazz" in it. I do post - and have lots of
photos with my posts - it just doesn't have the bells and
whistles graphics that I see and love in blog land. You can find me at
jillsibbald.typepad.comhttp://www.jillsibbald.typepad.com
3. What is the best part of doing a show?
Hands down, meeting new friends and finding there are
other wonderful women in the world that love the same things I do.
I'm also loving introducing my husband to the world of "shows"
and spending time with him. When you have a family and work full time,
that special time is hard to come by.
4. Do you specialize in any one era or type of item?
I love anything that tells a story. Journals, pictures, ephemera, etc.,
in addition to anything that is creamy, white, or tarnished silver. Add some
crusty rustys to the mix, and I'm a happy girl.
5. Have you done other shows or any upcoming shows?
Other than converting my garage to a summer and
winter boutique (http://www.comeplayeugene.blogspot.com)
A Vintage Gathering was my first "show on the road". I
think I'm hooked - who knows where I'll go next year. I also collaborate
with friends here in Eugene to put on a show or two in the summer -
we're at www.vintagemarketplace.weebly.com
6. What will you have for September?
I will be bringing lots of tarnished silver items, accented
with black, orange, grey and teal. I'm also frantically trying
to get some had made wreaths, Halloween themed
flash cars and banners made to take up - OH - and some vintage
bottles with vintage prescription labels. How fun
would those be in your Halloween decor?
We look forward to seeing you with your goodies and hope you
have a safe trip!
